The piece takes a look at the history of Comet 67P/C-G, and the mythology it has spawned, in particular contextualizing the technological development in history, since it’s discovery coincides with Peru’s land reform, which shifted the postcolonial social fabric of the country, and relativizes elements of visibility and communication.
